Still more Singapore

A "trishaw." The streets used to be *full* of them, but now they're few and far between, mostly for tourists. This one was near the Raffles hotel.

The Raffles Hotel, where the "Singapore Sling" was born. When I saw it in the early 80's, it was in sad shape. It's been wonderfully restored.

A few of the many ships in Singapore harbor. Singapore has always been a major "stopping off" point for cargo ships.

Haw Par Villa, formerly known as "Tiger Balm Gardens." Gives a new meaning to "Put a tiger in your tank", eh? The numbers on the license plate are supposed to be lucky numbers.

The laughing Buddha

The gardens present characters in Chinese Mythology.

Not quite where you'd expect to see "The lady", eh??

A jade tiger

The city, from the Disneyland style "cable car" ride over the harbor.

Along the Singapore river. There are now lots of restaurants and nightclubs along the banks.

Let's go get something to eat!!!
